Songs without drums, songs centred around acoustic guitar, mostly electronic songs with no guitar, wandering and repetitive melodies, songs built around the string sections. In addition to new sounds, many of the drum machines, organs, keyboards, and tones that listeners may associate with previous \u003cstrong\u003eBeach House\u003c\/strong\u003e records remain present throughout many of the compositions.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv data-mce-fragment=\"1\" style=\"text-align: center;\"\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv data-mce-fragment=\"1\" style=\"text-align: center;\"\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eBeach House\u003c\/strong\u003e is \u003cstrong\u003eVictoria Legrand,\u003c\/strong\u003e lead singer and multi-instrumentalist, and \u003cstrong\u003eAlex Scally,\u003c\/strong\u003e guitarist and multi-instrumentalist. They write all of their songs together. \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eOnce Twice Melody\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e is the first album produced entirely by the band. The live drums are by \u003cstrong\u003eJames Barone\u003c\/strong\u003e (same as their 2018 album, 7), and were recorded at \u003cstrong\u003ePachyderm studio\u003c\/strong\u003e in Minnesota and \u003cstrong\u003eUnited Studio\u003c\/strong\u003e in Los Angeles. For the first time, a live string ensemble was used. Strings were arranged by\u003cstrong\u003e David Campbell\u003c\/strong\u003e.\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThe writing and recording of \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eOnce Twice Melody\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e began in 2018 and was completed in July of 2021. Most of the songs were created during this time, though a few date back over the previous 10 years.
