The first day of summer will be a morale booster in itself, but that boost has just been upgraded thanks to the fact The Others Way Festival will be making a comeback this year, after a series of unfortunate pandemic-related cancellations. Flying Nun sweetheart Vera Ellen will be making the trip up from hometown Pōneke to perform, as well as our recent post punk signees Office Dog.
If you've ever attended The Others Way festival, you know that the lineups are often so good that it can take a little bit of planning to try and fit all your favourites in — this year is looking to be no different, with the first lineup also featuring the likes of dreamgirl harpist Mary Lattimore and iconic hip hop spearheads Souls of Mischief, as well as local legends Trinity Roots, Herbs (playing a special unplugged set), Jujulipps, The Circling Sun, deepState, Mā, Ringlets + a special unannounced bill who will be performing at an all-ages stage at The Underground. So much to go and see — you will be spoilt for choice.
