Die! Die! Die! have dished out a brand new standalone single - 'Smelter' - an infectious, attitudinal concoction of noise pop and post punk, dug out during the 2020 lockdown from demo sessions dating back over 10 years ago.
Of the single, singer and guitarist Andrew Wilson says "We found a rough demo of Smelter in the first lockdown in 2020 from our abandoned Flying Nun fourth album sessions in 2010. We liked it so much that we decided to bring the song back to life. Lyrically the song is about a lost friend".
'Smelter' is out now across all digital streaming platforms. You can also catch them on their nationwide tour of their latest album This Is Not An Island Anymore. They will be kicking things off in Wellington at Meow on Friday August 26th.
Unfortunately, due to Covid, their Auckland show this Saturday, August 20th has been postponed to Friday, September 30th. All ticket holders have been contacted directly about the new date and refunds.
Tickets for all shows on sale now via Banished Music.
