Human Instinct - Peg Leg
One of Aotearoa/New Zealand's most enduring and explosive rock outfits, Human Instinct blazed a singular trail through the late ’60s and ’70s, bridging psychedelic rock, heavy blues, and cosmic country with fearless invention.
Emerging from the North Island pop scene as The Four Fours, the group reinvented themselves after a stint in London, returning home to create a run of classic albums that captured the restless experimentation of their era. Led by drummer-vocalist Maurice Greer and including a who's-who of legendary NZ Musicicans throughout the ban'd history, not least the guitar virtuoso Billy TK.
Their albums Burning Up Years (1970), Stoned Guitar (1970), Pins In It (1971), Snatmin Cuthin (1972) The Hustler (1974) and Peg Leg (2003), are cornerstones of New Zealand’s psychedelic and hard rock legacy and and have all been lovingly reissued on vinyl & CD thanks to Grant Gillanders' Frenzy Music!
