Iron Maiden - Iron Maiden (Vinyl)
Released in April 1980, Iron Maiden is the raw, punk-infused debut album by the English heavy metal band of the same name. This album defined the band's early, aggressive sound (thanks in large part to Paul Di'Anno's almost punky vocal delivery), prior to them smoothing out some of those rougher edges, in the Bruce Dickinson era.
THE seminal release of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM), the album showcases the high-energy, twin-guitar attacks that would become a hallmark of the band's sound (along with Steve Harris's galloping basslines) and help define the Heavy Metal genre. Tracks like 'Phantom of the Opera', 'Running Free' and the title track are still staples of the band's live set, almost 50 years later.
Tracklisting:
Prowler
Remember Tomorrow
Running Free
Phantom Of The Opera
Transylvania (Instrumental)
Strange World
