Loves Ugly Children - Lost Demos 12" (Vinyl)
Following their electrifying reunion performances in late 2024, iconic Christchurch 90s noise-pop trio and Flying Nun alumni, Loves Ugly Children, have unveiled a 12" vinyl featuring two previously unreleased demo tracks from 1996. These tracks were unearthed and meticulously mastered from long-lost cassette tapes by drummer Jason Young, then pressed on vinyl at Holiday Records in Auckland.
The A-side, "Children's Dub (Acrid Version)" immerses listeners in a sonic dirge that evokes the band's signature raw energy and sonic edge. On the flip side, "Shooting The Star" showcases LUC's ability to delve into quieter, almost shoegaze territory, with lovely call and response vocals from frontman Simon Maclaren and Bass player Floss.
