Tāmaki Makaurau’s pacific-pop extraordinaire and double Taite Music Prize nominee Erny Belle has announced her highly anticipated sophomore album Not Your Cupid — out Friday 10th November 2023 via Flying Nun Records. Erny Belle also shares a new album single/video ‘Stay Golden’.

"The songs first took shape against a backdrop of complete isolation: Aotearoa New Zealand’s Coromandel Peninsula, entirely deserted in the midst of Covid lockdown. Forced to stand still, the sisters examined various events unfolding in their lives, and began work on a set of songs tapping into a newfound sense of realism, skewed through a lens of soft fantasy."

‘Unchained’ is a playfully earnest song about being open to the unforeseeable future. “It’s about releasing myself from feeling unworthy and incapable of getting what I deserve. The wisdom of knowing that certain things will make sense eventually, so there’s no need to worry.”
