Flying Nun Records Music News — Vera Ellen

We are beyond excited at the news that Vera Ellen will be supporting Cate Le Bon's Aotearoa shows in June!

Vera Ellen has released the music video for the title track from her recently released Flying Nun album, It’s Your Birthday. It is an exuberant accompaniment to the joyful tune; a carefree ode to her early 20’s. Vera can hardly hold her smile in during the entirety of the video and we can’t either. 

The Taite Music Prize 2022 have announced it's short list of finalists today, and as usual there are some real doozy's in there - including Flying Nun's very own Reb Fountain (last years' winner) and newcomer Vera Ellen.  But that's not to say they won't be facing some still competition from the likes of Luke Buda, Troy Kingi, Team Dynamite, Sheep, Dog & Wolf, Lips, French For Rabbits, Dianne Swann and Anthonie Tonnon.

It has been forced into an agonising string of postponements, like many live events. Hopefully the wait is coming to an end with a new date and updated line-up announced
