Reb Fountain has announced that her Silver Scroll nominated track Don't You Know Who I Am will receive a limited edition 7-inch pressing alongside the previously unreleased Hey Mom. It comes out on November 6th with artwork by Kalvin Fountain-Best.
Hey Mom will only be available in this format, so be sure to snap up the pre-orders pronto. It was written at Fountain's home during lockdown, and recorded in one take at Sublime Studios in the heart of the South Island's Waitaki Valley. "Reflecting on the distance between, the folding of time and the interwoven experience of childhood & motherhood, Reb turned on her voice recorder and Hey Mom emerged fully formed from start to finish."
Don't You Know Who I Am, meanwhile, appeared on Fountain's self-titled album released during this year's lockdown. She and her band are touring New Zealand NOW in celebration of the album's release. You can get any of the tickets left from Banished.
