THE D4 | BAND

The D4, the band,  was assembled by vocalist/guitarists Dion Palmer and Jimmy Christmas, in Auckland, New Zealand. These two founding members put together a collection of songs and built a four-piece combo, featuring English Jake and Rich Mixture, during late 1998 and started playing at the Frisbee Leisure Lounge parties along Symonds Street, followed shortly thereafter by inner city pub gigs. The band later added a new rhythm section of Vaughan Williams (Vaughn) (bass) and Daniel Pooley (Beaver) (drums).

The D4 released two albums on Flying Nun - 6twenty (2001) and Out of My Head (2005)

The band toured extensively both at home and abroad.
