In June 2024 Flying Nun Records opened a third record store in the central business district of Christchurch, New Zealand. Flying Nun Records was founded in 1981 in Christchurch - so it was particularly special to return to the place where the record label was founded.

The Flying Nun Record store is located in 143 Tuam St, Central Christchurch. (Please note, new website for this store coming soon) Our record store stocks Flying Nun vinyl, CDs, cassettes and merchandise, as well as a selection of new "non-Flying Nun" new releases, catalog items, reissues, pre-orders and more. Overall, we lean more toward alternative and specialist music genres, such as indie, post-punk, krautrock, electronic, ambient and more. This is a curated selection. In addition to the above we also stock a good range of music books.
