The 2006 double album from alt-folk superstar Devendra Banhart, 'Cripple Crow' is, quite possibly, the only record in rock music's history to unite wispy pop, patchouli oil-drenched folk, bossa nova in a sulk and psychedelic blues. The album is undoubtedly impressive, vastly singular yet entirely accessible, and an inspired listening experience where Banhart again proves himself one of the more talented and charismatic forces in modern folk.
