The second full-length release for the Brooklyn-based experimental artist, Taja Cheek aka L'Rain, was co-produced by Andrew Lappin.
At just under half an hour, the album's running time is relatively brief, but it feels like it encompasses Cheek's entire life so far, and it's a uniquely powerful expression of her uncompromising vision.
It’s a graceful record. ... Cheek's work is painterly and methodical, daubing vocal loops over clattering percussion, sweeping strings, and resonant synths to create a shapeshifting strain of experimental pop.
Tracklist:
A1 Fly, Die
A2 Find It
A3 Round Sun
A4 Blame Me
A5 Black Clap
A6 Suck Teeth
A7 Love Her
B1 Kill Self
B2 Not Now
B3 Two Face
B4 Walk Through
B5 I V
B6 Need Be
B7 Take Two
