Minor Threat - Minor Threat (Vinyl)
From the iconic cover art that inspired Rancid, to a label synonymous with DIY culture, and a genre defining album, Minor Threat’s first EP did more for an independent scene, than some bands do in their entire career. They only released about 50 minutes of music during their all-too-short reign of punk terror, but it's a hugely influential 50 minutes of music. If you asked Ian MacKaye at age 19 if he thought he would be responsible for what can arguably be the entire punk rock scene today, he would have laughed it off, with that same laugh at the end of 'Minor Threat'.
This 2022 repress, recut from the Silver Sonyare masters in November 2008 at Chicago Mastering Service, features a new blue cover, blue vinyl, and comes with a free MP3 download of the album. Recorded: April & August 1981. First released on 12" in June 1984.
