By 1996 and the heights of Britpop’s pomp and circumstance, former shoegaze icons Ride were considered an afterthought even by their own record company, Creation, who deleted their fourth studio album ‘Tarantula’ just one week after its release, with its one and only single ‘Black Nite Crash’ bombing in the charts.
Unfair, as it’s actually one of the band’s most expansive and diverse-sounding records.
