Surf Friends are back with a video for their latest tune, 'Good Thing'. 'Good Thing' was recorded at Surf Friends' headquarters in Red Beach (naturally), Auckland. The classically laid-back tune was produced, mix and mastered by Mark Howden in Dunedin. Mark Howden also made the music video below, which includes background skating footage from Surf Friends 2019 track 'New Wheels'. The track was made especially for a compilation for Field of Dreams festival, which has just been announced to now be happening April 10th in Auckland, after COVID-19 related postponement. Mermaidens have shared their latest single ‘Soft Energy’, and beautiful accompanying video, directed by guitarist Gussie Larkin.

Sonya Waters - whose musical career spans from the 80s punk of the Instigators through to Morricone-esque White Swan Black Swan -  has just released a set of ambient recordings. These combine "loops, synths, pianos, phonetic poetry, and wind turbine field recordings".  The project is released on Friday 5th of March (US time, so 6th in NZ) on cassette and via Bandcamp, via Cudighi Records - based in Los Angeles and run by Ben Van Howe.
