Flying Nun Record Store Wellington; Vinyl, Books, Merch, CD's & More

In November 2022 Flying Nun Records opened a record store in the central business district of Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington, New Zealand. Flying Nun moved to this new location from a previous store in the nearby central suburb of Newtown.

CUBA ST, WELLINGTON

The Flying Nun Record store Wellington is located at 173 Cuba st, which is a vibrant central city street home to many fine cafe's and other boutique retailers. Previously our Cuba st location was occupied by the much loved Rough Peel Music. Flying Nun Wellington is also very close to the iconic record store Slow Boat Records, and downstairs from the legendary music venue San Fran Bath House.

Our record store stocks Flying Nun vinyl, CDs, cassettes and merchandise, as well as a selection of new "non-Flying Nun" new releases, catalog items, reissues, pre-orders and more. Overall, we lean more toward alternative and specialist music genres, such as indie, post-punk, krautrock, electronic, ambient and more. This is a curated selection. In addition to the above we also stock a good range of music books.
