Flying Nun king prawn, Roger Shepherd is set to release his first book next month - a collection of memoirs reaching back to the early days of the label, that fertile feast of kiwi ingenuity, dreamt up in the back rooms of a Christchurch record shop in the early '80s. "I wanted to be more than just an observer. Princess Chelsea shares a "weirdass" music video for the track "Is It All OK?" - taken from the album The Great Cybernetic Depression, released earlier in 2015 on Flying Nun Records and Lil' Chief Records. Long time video collaborator Simon Ward - who produced and directed the video - says "Is It All OK?" is a synthetic story of the love and loss of the human race.  

Street Chant have released their latest video for 'Insides' - which features the band living out their high life dreams in the less glamorous surrounds of suburban Auckland flats.    The video premiered over on Brooklyn Vegan, who wrote there’s nary a dull moment in its 40-minute running time that swerves from punky rippers (including fantastic 2012 single “Sink,” the only oldie here) to janglier/scrappier fare that has more in common with New Zealand’s indie rock history.You can buy the vinyl here
